OBJECTIVES

Graduates in Sport Science are able to:
» Establish and guide sports training and fitness programmes;
» Perform training evaluation and control;
» Participate in the technical management of clubs, training schools, sports associations or federations, health clubs, gymnasiums and companies;
» Integrate sports promotion teams at associative, municipal, business or media level.

ACHIEVEMENT PROFILE
The study cycle ensures the acquisition and development of the following general skills:
» Apply knowledge of the effects of physical activity on the human body;
» Apply knowledge of the physiological and biomechanical factors that condition the practice of physical activity and sport;
» Apply knowledge related to sports practice and the regulations of the different modalities;
» Conceive, apply and evaluate physical activity teaching-learning processes, programmes and projects for the adult population, the elderly and the disabled;
» Conceive, apply and evaluate processes, programmes and projects to control training programmes for individual and collective sports, sports for special populations, nature sports and gym activities;
» Conceive, apply and evaluate processes, programmes and projects to assess physical fitness;
» Ability to analyse technical gestures, detecting basic errors related to specific skills in a sports training context.
